Buzz A Geek is expanding as a preferred IT solutions provider for small to medium-sized businesses across the Sunshine Coast.
We are seeking a Break-Fix Computer Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for a self-motivated, technically strong individual looking to gain hands-on experience in hardware repair and IT support. You’ll primarily focus on onsite and workshop-based repairs, with occasional software troubleshooting and support for customer service operations.
— Provide on-site and workshop-based hardware repairs for laptops, desktops, tablets, printers, and related equipment
— Complete repairs within contracted Customer Service Level Agreements (SLAs) with high customer satisfaction
— Assist with service and installation of other IT/PC devices
— Troubleshoot and repair printers, MFDs, and network equipment
— Reinstall software and reimage systems as required
— Manage allocated spare parts
— Deliver outstanding levels of customer service
— Follow internal and client processes and procedures
— Carry out additional duties as reasonably required
Experience & Qualifications
— A+ Certification or TAFE/University equivalent
— Knowledge/experience in laptop, desktop, and tablet repairs
— Printer repair experience
— Strong knowledge of Microsoft software, configuration, and general IT troubleshooting
— Ability to test and certify PCs, tablets, and laptops
— Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
— Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
— Excellent oral/written communication skills and customer focus
— Good time management skills
Equipment & Licences
— Valid Australian driver’s licence
— Own reliable, well-maintained vehicle
Additional Experience / Super Powers
— Ability to work with VOIP systems
— Hands-on Linux experience
— Up-to-date Microsoft Certified Cloud or On-Premises (MCSE) certification
— Web development skills, including WordPress
— Some sales experience desirable
